GGD Top Pick: Samsung Drops First Sneakers

Next month, Samsung will drop six pairs of limited-edition sneakers, available only to Samsung Members in a contest. The “Shortcut Sneaker” takes advantage of gesture-free tech; allowing you to use a range of motion (from your feet) to trigger a playlist or even make a phone call. The exclusive, wearable tech has been created in partnership with Elitac Wearables and esteemed sneaker designer Roel van Hoff . The soles of the Shortcut Sneaker contain motion sensors, connected to six actions; but information on how the actions will work with smartphones has not been released yet. You can enter the competition as a Samsung Member until July 9th. Winners will be announced July 15th.
